Ramira – about us
Ramira is one of Romania’s most important suppliers of welding fixtures for the automotive industry. The company’s reputation is reinforced by the group it belongs to since the beginning of 2013, Chropyňská Group. The group has over 1000 employees, of which 480 work in Ramira.
Established under the name “Machine Tools, Accessories and Tools” – IMUAS – later known by the beneficiaries under the name of “Ramira”, with the sole Romanian state shareholder, the company was one of the most famous manufacturers and exporters of machine building – honed, bent, dull and sharp, with accessories and related tools. By 1990 the company had over 3,000 employees.
The company was taken over by the Izoterom Baia Mare Group as a major shareholder. They started an investment and reorganization program consisting of acquisitions of production equipment.
The entry among European automotive suppliers in 2002 led to an increase in turnover and the number of employees, from 50 to 340 in 2008.
The full takeover of Ramira in 2013 by the Czech group Chropynska was the solution for financial rehabilitation and company retention among automotive suppliers.
The Czech Employer, with a long-term vision, has completed the started investment projects, and at the same time, it has carried out new ones, consisting of acquisitions of performing machines for processing and control, setting up production areas, creating modern work conditions, training areas for employees and promoting the company on the market, so today Ramira enjoys appreciation as a supplier in the world’s automotive industry.
